West-Consumer Mediation (WCM) is dedicated to protecting your privacy and providing you with the highest level of service. This Policy explains the circumstances under which non-public information concerning you and/or your financial circumstances may be disclosed and what WCM does to keep information about you private and secure. This Policy covers only non-public information that you provide to WCM or that we obtain about you from your banks, creditors, financial institutions, credit reporting agencies, credit card companies, licensed collection agencies, and any and all other entities and individuals relating to your debts with whom you have authorized us to represent you.

Information We Collect

The information we collect about you comes from a number of sources including information we receive from you over the phone or in documents or applications, information about your transactions received from you, your creditors, or credit reporting agencies such as your account balances with your creditors, payment histories, account activity, and all other information that may be contained in your credit card statements or other reports relating to your debt, and information we receive from other sources, such as credit bureaus, collection agencies, and other data relating to your payment histories, creditworthiness, annual income, or ability to satisfy your obligations.
Disclosure of Information
We do not disclose any of the information we collect to non-affiliated third parties. We may disclose information in order to effect or carry out any transaction that you have requested of us or as may be necessary to complete our contractual obligations with you. We do not provide client information to third parties, provide or sell information to marketers or service providers. We will only provide relevant information as permitted or required by law, such as to protect against fraud or in response to a subpoena or as instructed by our clients. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) requires businesses to obtain written consent from consumers before sending them SMS messages. WCM shall comply with opt-in, opt-out per FTC & FCC law. SMS Consent or phone numbers are not shared for the purpose of SMS with third parties or affiliates.
How We Protect Your Information
We train our employees to rigorously protect all customer information and utilize a clean desk policy. Employees, agents or contractors working for us are authorized to collect information about you only when necessary to perform the work they are engaged to do to enable us to perform services for you. We maintain secured physical documentation, electronically encrypted data and employ procedural controls that comply with government standards.
Confidential & Proprietary Information (NDA)
WCM considers all communications, written, recorded, transmitted; in contemporaneous or otherwise, to be its sole property and thereby vital to its processes, and methods used in production. In perpetuity, recipients, prospective researchers, clients, and all engaged in our program shall agree not to disseminate any communication in the public domain without written consent of WCM authority. This acknowledgement shall commence at the outset of an informational request by a prospective researcher and furthure acknowledged in execution of an authorization to perform services. Any breach of the NDA shall fully be prosecuted under state (CA) and federal law.
This Policy applies to all current and former consumer customers.
